Baby Registry- Nursery Essentials
Crib
The crib is the centerpiece of a nursery and a baby registry must. The Delta Children Essex 4 in 1 Convertible Baby Crib is beautiful, made of nontoxic materials, and adapts to your child’s needs as they grow. You’re sure to get your money’s worth out of this purchase.
Mattress
The Graco Premium Crib & Toddler Mattress is a full-sized foam crib mattress that has already won the hearts of many parents. It boasts several awards and certifications, making it one of the best on the market.
Crib Mattress Protector
To help protect your mattress, you’ll want a Crib Mattress Protector that is Waterproof & Noiseless. This mattress protector is breathable, waterproof, and best of all, machine washable.
Crib Sheet
Softness and quality matter when looking for crib sheets. This American Baby Company Supreme Fitted Crib Sheet has both! It is 100% cotton jersey knit and is a favorite in our house.
Bassinet
We recommend putting the HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0 Baby Bassinet on your baby registry because it swivels over your bed, has a lowering wall, making it easier for mom recovering from delivery to get the baby in and out, and is made with great-quality materials.
Changing Table
It is nice to have a dedicated space to change diapers and store diapers, wipes, and other accessories. This Delta Children Convertible Changing Table with Drawer is stylish and practical. The changing top is removable, so it can be used as a regular piece of furniture long after the diaper-changing years are over.
Chest of Drawers
A chest of drawers is an essential storage solution, offering space to organize baby essentials such as clothing, blankets, diapers, and other accessories. The Delta Children Essex Collection offers a 6-drawer and 3-drawer option, which best fits your space. Be sure to secure all furniture to the wall for safety as your little one grows curious and becomes more mobile for safety.
Rocking Chair or Glider
When choosing a chair for the nursery, the most important requirement is comfort for those late-night feedings or soothing baby back to sleep. Check out the following options and find the one that best fits your space and style to add to your baby registry.
Delta Children Blair Slim Nursery Glider Swivel Rocker Chair: Swivels, rocks, and does 360-degree rotation.
Delta Children Mercer Electronic Power Recliner & Swivel Glider: Reclines with the push of a button, swivels 240 degrees, and built-in USB charger.
Noise Machine and Night Light
We highly recommend the Hatch Rest+ Baby & Kids Sound Machine, a sound machine and Toddler Sleep Trainer. It will grow with your child and help them with sleep training as they grow by acting as a night light that is customizable by your desired sleep and nap times, all set up via the Hatch app. This version has a backup battery, which is great if you lose power in the middle of the night.
Darkening Curtains
In those early years, naps and even bedtimes don’t always happen when it’s dark outside. Darkening curtains help create the perfect dark environment for your baby to sleep comfortably no matter what time of day they need to rest.
Humidifier
One of the first things the doctor will likely suggest at the first sign of a cold or congestion is using a humidifier in the bedroom. This one by Homvana has a large top opening for easy fill and cleaning!
Baby Registry- Feeding Essentials
Breast Pump
The world of breast pumps is large and diverse. The first thing to know is some medical insurance plans cover certain types of pumps. If yours doesn’t cover the one you had your eye on, consider getting one yourself. If you are planning to breastfeed, you will spend lots of time with your pump, and it’s essential to have the features you desire to make things simpler for you. The Medela Swin Maxi Pump Your Way Deluxe Bundle has excellent reviews. It boasts two pump styles of the classic use of breast shields AND a more discrete in bra, hands-free design. This idea of this versatility is genius.
Bottles
It is impossible to know exactly how your feeding journey will go before your baby arrives. The best you can do is have a plan, do some research, and be flexible to whatever your baby needs.
Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Anti-Colic Bottles are great at reducing burping and gas that can make babies uncomfortable in those early weeks.
Tommee Tippee Baby Bottles, Natural Start Anti-Colic Baby Bottle with Slow Flow Breast-Like Nipple is excellent for those switching back and forth between bottle feeding and nursing. The larger top opening also makes cleaning easier.
Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump
The Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump is a must on your baby registry for nursing moms. Simply place this on the opposite side you are nursing on to catch any drips and relieve some fullness until the baby is ready to feed again.
Dr. Brown’s Microwave Sterilizing Bag
Dr. Brown’s Microwave Steam Sterilizer Bags for Baby Bottles and Pacifiers are such a time saver for pumping, especially when away from home. I used these daily while pumping at work to prepare my pump parts for next use.
Bottle Brush
You will be using a bottle brush A LOT! It’s worth getting a quality one that looks decent in your kitchen, like this OXO Tot Bottle Brush.
Boon Grass Drying Rack
After all the washing of bottle and pump parts comes the drying. We still use our Boon Grass Plastic Drying Rack for school water bottles now that our children are older. It even comes in more neutral colors like grey and white to blend in with your kitchen decor.
Muchkin Folding Bottle Drying Rack
If you travel or are pumping away from home often, this Muchkin Folding Bottle Drying Rack is worth every penny.
Nursing Pillow
If you plan to nurse, a good nursing pillow must be on your baby registry to keep you and your baby comfortable and supported. Check out these two options.
My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow
Nursing Cover
This soft nursing cover provides the privacy you need while feeding outside your home, but it’s uses don’t stop there. It can be used as a car seat cover to cover your little one while traveling to and from the car. It can also cover many other public surfaces your little one might be sitting on as they grow, such as shopping carts and restaurant high chairs, to minimize germ exposure.
Milk Snob 5 in 1 Nursing Cover
Bottle/Cup Labels
If your child will be attending daycare, they often require all items to be labeled, including bottles and sippy cups. These reusable, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe silicone name bands work great! InchBug Orbit Labels Personalized, Reusable Bands
Baby Breeze Formula Dispensing Machines
Listen up! If you plan to formula feed, you will want to splurge on this Baby Brezza New and Improved Formula Pro Advanced Formula Dispenser Machine. It makes a warm bottle at the push of a button. Essentially, it’s a Keurig for babies. Tired moms and dads, you will want this luxury, I promise you! If you are having multiples or have a toddler to tend to as well as a new baby, go ahead and click “add to baby registry.” You won’t regret it!
High Chair
When choosing a high chair, its ability to be cleaned quickly and thoroughly should be a top priority. You will be shocked at how messy these things can get as the baby explores new foods. This particular high chair grows with your child, has the ability to change into a chair, top high chair, and later, a toddler chair. Ingenuity Smart Clean Trio Elite 3 in 1 Convertible High Chair
Baby Registry- Diapering Essentials
Diaper Pail
We’ve been to people’s houses where their whole house smells like a dirty diaper, which isn’t pleasant. This is primarily because they throw diapers away in a regular trash can or their diaper pail is failing them. We used and highly recommend the Ubbi Steel Odor Locking, No Special Bag Required Money Saving, Diaper Pail, White. Not only does it lock in and secure the smell, but it allows you to use your own trash bag. Other versions make you use their bags. So this is a money saver in the long run. One tip we used was to place an opened box of baking soda at the bottom of the pail before adding your trash bag for a little extra smell reduction.
Diapers
Pampers Swaddlers Diapers are the top choice for parents seeking comfort and reliability. Known for their soft, blanket-like feel, these diapers keep your baby cozy while providing up to 12 hours of leak protection. The wetness indicator helps you know when it’s time for a change, giving you peace of mind and your baby uninterrupted sleep.
Wipes
WaterWipes Unscented Baby Wipes are the purest baby wipes on the market. They are made with just two ingredients: 99.9% purified water and a drop of fruit extract. They are gentle enough for newborns’ delicate skin, including those with sensitive skin or eczema. Free from harsh chemicals, these wipes provide your baby with a safe and effective clean.
Diaper Bags
I’m all for backpack diaper bags because they leave your hands free to carry your sweet baby. You have to check out this one, Momuvo Diaper Bag Backpack, which boasts a large capacity, lots of storage compartments for organization, and a wristlet changing pad for diaper changes.
Water Proof Reusable Bags
ALVABABY Wet Dry Bags are the perfect solution for on-the-go parents. These reusable bags separate wet and dry items with two zippered pockets, making them ideal for cloth diapers, swimsuits, or travel essentials.

Baby Registry- Clothing Essentials
A word of caution regarding baby clothes and your baby registry: you will likely get lots of baby clothes if they are on your registry or not. Clothes are fun for people to pick out, making them a common gift. I know baby-sized clothes are adorable, but there are soooooo many other practical items you will also need and want. Put a few clothing items on your registry to give people an idea of your style and what you like. Still, I’d keep it to a minimum, knowing you will get more clothing than you register for and hopefully guiding those looking at your registry to some other items.
Sleeping Gowns
Regardless of whether you have a boy or a girl, sleeping gowns are very convenient in the early days. They make diaper changes a breeze and do not pressure the umbilical cord stump area.
Simple Joys by Carter’s Cotton Sleeping Gowns
Sleepers
Sleepers are a very practical and cozy choice for the first few weeks of life. Their two-way zippers make diaper changes easier, allowing you to undress only their bottom half.
Simple Joys by Carter’s 2-way zip, footed sleeper
Swaddle Blankets
We loved these swaddle blankets for their soft material and large size, which made swaddling a breeze.
Adin + Anis Swaddle Blanket Set
Our oldest child LOVED to be swaddled when he was little. The swaddles with velcro closure would always wake him when trying to re-swaddle after he had dozed. This velcro-free version was a game changer to keep our little guy happy and resting.
Baby Registry- Health and Safety Essentials
Baby Monitor
Keep a watchful eye on your little one with a reliable baby monitor like the Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro. This monitor features a 5-inch monitor screen, interchangeable lenses, quick setup, and a closed-loop system that doesn’t use Wi-Fi for ultimate security.
Nasal Aspirator
The Waltolt Electronic Nose Suction makes clearing your baby’s stuffy nose quick and easy with the push of a button. Designed with adjustable suction levels, this device offers gentle yet effective relief, ensuring your baby breathes comfortably. The soft silicone tips are safe for delicate noses. This was VERY helpful for our little ones when they were too little to blow their nose. A must-have on your baby registry in my book!
Saline Spray
Little Remedies Sterile Saline Nasal Mist is a gentle, effective way to relieve your baby’s nasal congestion. This non-medicated mist helps flush out mucus and clear nasal passages, making breathing easier for your baby. Our pediatrician always recommended this when our littles were congested.
Thermometer
The Amplim Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer offers a quick, accurate, and hygienic way to monitor your baby’s temperature. Its non-contact design makes it ideal for taking temperatures without disturbing your baby. The easy-to-read digital display and versatile features make it a practical addition to any parent’s toolkit.
Chest Rub for Congestions Relief
Matys Baby Chest Rub provides soothing relief for your little one with its natural, gentle formula. Enriched with a blend of essential oils and organic ingredients, this chest rub helps ease congestion and promotes better breathing while being kind to sensitive baby skin. It’s perfect for calming and comforting your baby during cold and flu season.
Motrin
This is great to have on hand for that fever or sickness that creeps up in the middle of the night. Motrin Infants’ Oral Suspension provides fast and effective relief from your baby’s pain and fever. Its concentrated liquid formula is designed to treat tiny tummies while offering gentle relief. Be sure to get an appropriate dosing chart from your pediatrician based on your child’s weight.
Gas drops
Little Remedies Gas Relief Drops provide quick and gentle relief from gas discomfort, helping to soothe your baby’s tummy and ease bloating. With its natural, safe formula, these drops are designed to relieve gas pain without causing additional side effects. They’re easy to administer and a great addition to any parent’s toolkit for managing digestive issues that can cause a cranky baby.
Butt Paste
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste Original Diaper Rash Cream is another favorite for its fast and effective relief from diaper rash. Its unique formula, enriched with 16% zinc oxide, provides a thick barrier to protect and soothe your baby’s sensitive skin. This cream is gentle yet powerful, making it a reliable choice for preventing and treating diaper rash.
Backseat Camera for the Car
A lesser-known essential for the car is this Backseat Car Camera and monitor, which allows you to see your baby in their rear-facing car seat while you drive. It allows you to ensure their safety and better anticipate their needs as you travel.
Furniture Anchors for Safety
It won’t be long, and your little one will be up and moving independently. These safety straps/ furniture anchors are imperative for attaching TVs and furniture items to the wall to ensure they won’t fall as your little one starts to explore.

Safety Innovations Twin Door Outlet Cover
These Little Chick Baby Safety Outlet Covers are more traditional outlet covers that provide safety for outlets not currently in use.
Disinfectant Spray
As a bit of a germaphobe, Seventh Generation Disinfecting Spray is a lifesaver. I have literally sprayed nearly every surface or thing you can think of with it: counters, changing tables, beds, toys, diaper bags, shoes, backpacks, etc. The best part is that no rinse or wipe is required. Just spray and let dry. It is made with botanicals instead of harmful chemicals.
Baby Gate
The Dreambaby Liberty Baby Safety Gate provides a safe and secure barrier to keep your baby or pet out of restricted areas. Its one-handed operation and easy installation make it a parent-friendly choice, while the sturdy, pressure-mounted design ensures reliable protection without damaging your walls. Ideal for doorways, hallways, and staircases, this gate offers both convenience and peace of mind.
Be sure to measure the opening of the area where you want the gate. An extra insert may be required to make the opening fit. Here is a link to an extra 5.5-inch insert.
We also used these baby gate wall protectors to protect our walls from potential damage.

Baby Carriers
Using a baby carrier allows you to move around and use your hands for household chores while keeping the baby close, snuggled, and happy. These are my two favorite carriers. The first one straps on, and the second is a wrap (there are some great videos on how to use it appropriately and safely). I liked having both options depending on what I was doing.
